This article provides a detailed account of the education and training of Information workers in Hast Africa. A background account pertaining to Information training in the region is provided. It is noted that two out of three countries in the region already have facilities for training at the professional level. Tanzania is the only" odd man out". The performance of the school of librarianship at Makerere University äs a regional Institution has been examined
realistically. It is observed that Makerere has failed to live up to expectations |
