This study investigates the cultural conceptualizations of learner empowermentacross different educational contexts. By conducting a comparative analysis, weexplore how the notion of empowerment is translated and operationalized invarious languages and educational systems. The research highlights the influenceof cultural factors on the understanding and application of learnerempowerment, revealing significant variations and commonalities. Our findingssuggest that while the core principles of empowerment remain consistent, theirimplementation is deeply rooted in cultural and linguistic contexts. Recentstudies, such as those by Bourdieu (2022), emphasize the importance ofculturally responsive strategies in fostering learner empowerment. This studycontributes to the broader discourse on language education by providinginsights into how cultural nuances shape educational practices and learnerexperiences. |
