Abstract: The Internationalisation Quality Review Process (IQRP) of Moi University, Eldoret, Kenya, took place with different objectives from the other case studies in the pilot phase of the IQRP project. At Moi University, IQRP has been used as an instrument to prepare a self-assessment report of the international activities of the university as the first step towards preparing a strategic planning seminar on internationalisation. The Seminar on Internationalisation of Higher Education took place in Moi University from 21 June to 29 June 1998. It was organised under the auspices of the MHO Central Services Project, the objective of which is the improvement of the central services, both academic and administrative, at the university. The project is part of a broader institution building project, run by NUFFIC, in which Dutch universities co-operate over a long period with faculties and schools of Moi Uni- versity, in the field of environmental studies, health sciences, technology, agricul- ture and tourism. The seminar was facilitated by two external experts in the field of internationalisation of higher education: Jane Knight, Ryerson Polytechnic Univer- sity, Toronto (Canada), and Hans de Wit, University of Amsterdam (the Nether- lands), who are also the project leaders for the IMHE/OECD internationalisation project and the IQRP pilot project. Peter Opakas and Joseph Koech, principal ad- ministrative officers at Moi University, were assigned as project leaders for Moi University MHO Central Services Project.
