Abstract: Motivated teachers work better and so produce better outcomes. The issue of motivation is paramount in making sure that the anticipated learning outcomes are positive and admirable. Teacher motivation is crucial in contribution of quality learning in early c hildhood development centers, which goes a long way in molding responsible, creative and innovative future persons, who will contribute positively to national building. This s tudy was designed to analyze determinants of teacher motivation in Early childhood development education in public preschools in Uasin Gishu county; to determine the influence of school related factors on motivation in public pre-schools in Uasin Gishu County, to assess the teac her characteristics on motivation of public pre-school teachers in Uasin Gis hu county, to determine the influ ence of stakeholder’s in the provision of resources on m otivation of preschool teachers and to assess the influence of teacher recognit ion on teacher motivation.
