Abstract: Due to high generation of solid waste materials around the world, the reuse of solid waste becomes indispensable in order to make them environmentally friendly. There- fore, the utilization of solid waste minimizes the amount of disposal, the solid waste management cost, and natural resource consumption. In this study, waste glass and ce- ramic tiles were used in concrete instead of conventional aggregates. Experiment was conducted in three stages. The first and second stages focused on the glass-concrete and ceramic-concrete respectively. Meanwhile, the third stage consists blend of glass and ceramic tiles together. These concretes were compared to conventional con- crete. The results showed that blending of waste glass and ceramic tiles aggregates can be utilized partially. Improve- ment in the mechanical characteristics of the non-conven- tional concrete was observed.
