dc.description.abstractDemocracy is founded on the principle of elections and opinion expression capabilities. Bimber & Leggewie foresaw e-democracy. Voting is an information transfer model. Trust is essential to communication channel but can’t be transferred through that channel. New York Times (November, 2008) editorial and computer security experts like Wallach reported malfunctions, vulnerability and vote flipping. Trust in the correct functioning of the electronic voting system is key to democracy. Identification and verification of voters lie in the design to accurately detect fraud and audit elections. Practical implementation on a bulletin board in a secure way is feasible provided certain deficiencies like privacy, identification, verification and tally is addressed using cryptographic techniques. Lampard’s one time signature schemes that ensure one man, one vote principle and converted non-interactive proofs via zero knowledge proofs to identify voters with bit commitments for distributed computation after casting votes can be exploited to achieve this objective. In this paper we have achieved real time tabulation of results in associated race. Simulated interfaces are in the appendix section.en_US
