dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research was to establish the relationship between network structure and performance of event management ventures (EMVs). Explanatory design was adopted. 271 entrepreneurs from three selected counties participated in the study. Data was collected using questionnaires and nominal group technique (NGT) schedules from all the entrepreneurs. However, 22 ventures that had been in existence for over ten years were interviewed using the NGT schedule. Data was analyzed using Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS 18) software. Confirmation of the factor structure was done using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The fit indices of the structural model indicated that the model was acceptable (GFI=0.979; AGFI=0.944; NFI=0.918; CFI=0.952; RMSEA=0.067). Therefore, the hypothesis that network structure affects venture performance was not supported (β=0.026, p<0.05). Based on the findings, the study concluded that network structure does not affect venture performance.en_US
